Dr. Heller is partnering with Founder and CEO Adam Sager to advance OpenVet’s mission to arm every veterinarian with the world’s best intelligence, empowering them to practice at the absolute limit of clinical judgment.

Dr. Heller brings rare credibility across both frontline clinical medicine and large-scale veterinary systems. Prior to OpenVet, he was a co-founder and long-time leader at IndeVets, where he helped shape clinical standards, quality systems, and mentorship frameworks as the workforce scaled nationwide. As Chief Medical Officer, he led the development of clinical governance and support structures for veterinarians. As Chief Growth Officer, he helped expand the organization to more than 250 veterinarians and over 4,000 hospital partners.

That experience directly informs OpenVet’s approach. Building medical infrastructure requires more than technical capability. It requires an understanding of how standards are earned, how trust is maintained, and how systems behave under real clinical pressure.
